PacBio Lunch and Learn

The MCIC will be hosting a PacBio lunch and learn event on September 8 at 12:00 pm, FABE Building 200., CFAES Wooster Campus

PacBio technology provides highly accurate long-read sequencing for genome studies, and the 5-base HIFI sequencing method detects epigenetics DNA modifications providing a way to study epigenetics without the need for special library preparation methods.

Speakers and topics:

  • Turner Duncan, PacBio: Introduction to SMRT sequencing
  • Matthew Hestand, PhD, PacBio: HiFi sequencing applications
  • Jacob Brandenburg, PacBio: How can HiFi reads elevate your agricultural genomics and epigenomics research?

The event can be attended in person or via zoom and lunch will be provided.

Please register whether you are attending in person or via zoom:  https://events.pacb.com/pacbioseminar-osu. You will receive a zoom link with the registration confirmation email and be counted for lunch.
