Name your major/rank: Brooke Stottsberry, Second-year Animal Science
Tell us about your family/pets: I come from a small but close-knit family. My parents are married, and I grew up on a cow-calf farm with my two older brothers. Living on a farm taught me a lot about hard work and responsibility from a young age. Even though my immediate family is small, we make up for it with strong connections to our family friends. We often have big family dinners together, which makes our circle feel much bigger and filled with love and laughter.
What is your hometown?: Sarahsville, OH
Why did you choose OSU and CFAES Wooster as your collegiate choice?: I chose OSU CFAES Wooster because it felt like the perfect fit for both my background and my goals. I’ve always been passionate about agriculture and the way it shapes our communities. I also went to a very small high school where everyone knew everyone, and I wanted a college that would feel just as personal and welcoming. The smaller campus size at Wooster made the transition to college less overwhelming and helped me feel more at home. CFAES Wooster offers a hands-on, close-knit learning environment that reminds me of home, while still connecting me to the world-class resources of Ohio State. It’s a place where I knew I could grow, both academically and as a person.
