The Ohio State ATI Livestock Judging Team has begun their travels across the country to compete in a variety of contests over the course of the academic year. Coached by ATI lecturer Seth Ebert, last year's team had many successes, including making the top 10 overall teams at multiple competitions.
The team, consisting of 16 freshmen and 10 sophomores, traveled to Tennessee to compete in the Prof Lidvall Memorial Livestock Judging Contest in September. The sophomores brought home Reserve Champion Team Overall. Members who made it into the top 20 overall individually include Grant Belleville (7th), David Raines (10th), Kara Stephan (12th), and JT Todd (19th).
Additionally, the freshman team competed as individuals. Members who made it into the top 20 overall include Myah Bandy (7th), Caleb Nolt (8th), Abigail Schwieterman (10th), Riley Littrell (13th), Jack Stover (14th), Rhylee Eichorn (16th), and Owen Barger (18th).
The sophomore team will continue to prepare for the Hill and Carload Contests held in Denver, Colorado, next month. ATI & CFAES Wooster wishes good luck to the 2025-2026 livestock judging team members and cannot wait to see the success they will achieve!
