Directors’ Message

One of the best aspects of the CFAES Wooster Campus is our landscape and scenery, especially this time of year.  As the leaves change, it reminds us of the changes occurring on our campus.  Our new main entrance sign is completed, we cut the ribbon on the Trimble Agriculture Laboratory, and we finished the back nine of our disc golf course.  We have also seen changes in how we all connect across our community.  We had record attendance at Staff Council events this year, especially at the Fall Beverage event. We hope this continues and would like to see everyone at the CFAES Wooster Campus Holiday Open House on December 1st from 1:30-3:30 at the Secrest Welcome and Education Center. And just like the trees in the spring, we will be continuing these changes on the CFAES Wooster Campus with improved facilities and new events.  One important event will be the solar eclipse on April 8, 2024. As you may know Wooster will be in the “path of totality,” and we will be holding an event for our campus and our neighboring communities. Stay tuned for more details.

In this issue of our Campus Connector, we have articles from our Spotlight on Staff. We also wanted to highlight the efforts by Kelly Kyser who has increased engagement and activities for all students on our campus—we loved seeing the windows painted for homecoming and all the other activities for our students!

We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family and a great finish to the semester!
