Student Spotlight: Erick Rodriguez

Describe your work: My work involves looking at the toxic and repellent effects natural extracts may have on the yellow fever mosquito Aedes aegypti. Currently I’m particularly focused in testing the effects hemp extracts may have on these mosquitoes.

How long have you been with OSU:  I have been with OSU for around five years, three as a vising scholar and two as a student.

Hometown: I was born in the capital of Honduras, Tegucigalpa.

​​​​​​​Favorite food:  Seafood! I’ll eat anything that comes out of the ocean, but a whole fried fish with fried plantains (tostones) and rice and beans is my favorite.

​​​​​​​What is a talent or superpower you wish you had:  The ability to memorize and recall everything I read and saw in great detail! This superpower would be beyond helpful and applicable. You could literally do anything you wanted in life with such a vast amount of knowledge at the tips of your fingers.
